When I had my new shoes put on they didn't charge me for the TPMS. They used the same ones and replaced the valve stem. Whomever told you $220 is trying to stick it to you IMHO.gqnel said:

I'm looking to get new shoes for my Terrain on tirerack.com, but don't want to pay the additional $220 for their TPMS sensors. Has anyone re-used the stock sensors on after-market rims? Thanks.
