New Owner... several newb questions

Hi All,

I am picking up my new 2011 Equinox LS from the dealership tomorrow. This is a 95% business vehicle, as I put around 40,000 miles on my car each year. Thats the reason I went cheap and got the LS, although I did get the bluetooth package.

I do wish the LS had the USB audio port, however paying up to the LT1 was not worth it for that reason alone. Can you add that in the center console? If so, is it very hard or would it be wise for the dealer to install that?

Also, I was looking at some Chrome side mirrors online to replace the stock options, and I found a pair of heated mirrors for $250. Will the LS be wired for the heated mirrors (power) and would I have to pull a wire to the dash and splice into the rear defroster button so they can be turned on (I'd rather not have a stand-alone switch for that).

Thanks in advance for help guys.

I've had heated mirrors for awhile now, and I live in upstate NY, so I know snow, and I'll be perfectly franks - I have NEVER seen any time when I have said - wow look at the mirrors - I am glad I have heated mirrors. Maybe I don't drive in reverse enough to build up any snow/ice on the mirrors! LOL

I would gladly switch mirrors for $200 and save you $50.
I doubt that the LS will be wired for heated mirrors, but the USB audio dongle is available as an accessory from the dealership.

I would recommend discussing these concerns with your dealer. They are the best resource when it comes to letting you know what options the vehicle is capable of. Please feel free to keep me posted. Thank you.

Thanks for the replies guys. Picked it up today and I love it! When you say "dongle", would the add-on not be flush in the center console like on the LT? Thanks Guys.

This is what I'm talking about http://www.gmaccessorieszone.com/Chevrolet/2011/Equinox/Personal%20Device%20Interface%20Module%20%28PDIM%29/?tx_gmshopb2b_pi1[type]=gm but it seems a little pricey for what it is...and I have no idea whats involved in the installation if you try to do it yourself.

edit- the link is bad, just go here http://www.chevrolet.com/equinox/ and choose "owners" then "equinox" and then click on the PDIM to see what I'm talking about.
