What is the brand of the navigation system module in the Terrain?
What models and/or brands (modules) are compatible with this?
Say, if I want a more updated/informed gps unit that has lifetime maps and traffic and phonebook etc? ;D

If the module goes bad it shoulld be able to be replaced. Is this not correct? Or if you want to upgrade the unit sometime down the line.

These vehicles have a new integrated 'bus' system. That means that various systems can communicate with each other and as such, things like the nav system aren't interchangeable or replaceable as they used to be, and the various parts are scattered throughout the system. They are certainly not like the Acadias (and other GM vehicles) where you can simply change out the head unit.

I think there are various 'modules' that all have a play in the factory nav (although it's much more than just nav) system.

Not sure why you are worried about this... just enjoy your vehicle when it arrives.

Not so much worried about it, I am a gadget person so I am naturally curious!
I am definitely[/color] going to enjoy driving and playing in my new T when it arrives!
