We jumped into the '13 Nox today after Christmas shopping, started it up, put it in reverse, looked at the screen to check behind and we were surprised to see the whole screen was a very bright yellow with a vertical blue line about ¼ inch wide slowly moving across the screen.

We just sat there and looked at the yellow screen and blue line moving from left to right for a while. Because the screen has unexpectedly gone completely black a couple of times during the past year we figured that it has finally died.

I grumbled a little while about having to drop into the dealer with this problem. Dropped it into drive to pull out of the parking spot and the screen immediately returned to normal and it’s been fine all day.

Definitely weird. Never a dull moment. ::)

Let us know what the dealer says but it's probably just the camera or the wiring. I've seen this type of glitch in other setups just from a loose cable.

If it happens again I'll visit the dealer. But it's been behaving since, so far only that one episode.
Suppose I could drop in and ask the service writers if this is something they've encountered previously.
And take it from there. Either have them look at it if it's a known problem or just monitor it if not.

I would at least get a photo of any strange behavior or get it right into the dealer so they can document it. Pretty expensive repair outside of 3/36k if it does fail.

A service writer is just that.. a writer.. they don't look at what results for tickets were.. only names and when appointments need to be met. Ask the service manager... or a technician or two who deal with the electronic side of cars. Each Dealership has one or two depending on region and sales of particular vechicles know to have electrical gremlins. They are the cleaner looking grease monkeys..
