For those looking at the Terrain, there are two missing options and are unavailable

1. No Dual Zone H/C controls. The HVAC is awesome, but my wife and fought for control to TN and back to IN a couple of weeks ago.

2. No front passenger power seat. Really, how much can it cost? I would rather have that than a rear seat entertainment DVD

Other than that this is one of the best GM vehicles that I have owned. This is over 41 years, I do not remember how many cars.

I completely agree that there are definitely some missing options. Some of which you would think would be a no brainer.

1. Definitely missing the lack of heating/cooling zones. Even Front/Back would be nice.

2. Also agree with the lack of power passenger seat. More specifically the inability to lower the seat.

3. Seat memory should be included with every model that has power seats. What good is 8 directions of seat travel if you can never get them they same way twice?

4. Lack of a HID option, even on an SLT2.

5. No HUD

6. No power folding mirrors or mirror flashers.

7. Rear seats that fold flat. Everyone else can do it, why can't GM?

Not really an option, but the headrests drive me nuts. I find that they push too far forward. If they were rotated back 10º they would be much more comfortable.

the one that gets me is the homelink garage door opener.

I don't understand why automotive companies don't make more options available. Is there not good money to be made on options? Are they not trying to make money to stay afloat or to pay back loans? I know one way to get customers to move up a notch is to make certain items standard on the top end models. But when they don't even offer items as an option they are loosing out on extra profit. Take the xenon headlights for instance. Not a cheap option if it was available, but a good profit for the G.M. on each unit sold.

I agree completely. Our Acadia is our first vehicle with HID's and would gladly pay the extra money to get that in the 'Nox. Same goes for the HUD.

If I was buying the Terrain as a family car, the lack of dual zone controls would definitely be a deal breaker. Hopefully they wise up and add it soon.

Dual zone is kind of worthless to me. I just tell my wife to turn on her seat warmer! lol

I do agree that some options were left off that shouldnt of been. Terrains should have an HID option/standard no questions allowed. That is what annoys me.

We have dual zone in our Acadia and it is the first time we have ever had it. Now I don't think I could buy a car without it. Typically I will have my temp set between 72-74. In the winter, my wife's heated seat is on high and her temp is set between 85-90. In every other car we have had, I'm hot all the time and she's cold all the time.

I hope that the Terrain soon gets the dual zone as I would like to buy one in the fall 2012 or spring 2013.

Exactly. I HATE that GM does not have dual zone on more of its products. Me and the wife are exactly the same. Today it was 92 here and she wanted to cruise around with the freakin windows down because "it feels good"

I had dual zone on my wife's acadia and never really used it. We were always within a couple of degrees of each other. I have dual in my car also and it is not used, so not a deal breaker for me. I do miss the heads up display from my acadia. I was also suprised the SLT2 (which is what we got) did not have xenon lights. The lack of homelink is also weird imo. It is also the only car of the three I own which I have to take the keys out of my pocket to open and start the vehicle.

Dual Zone is a non issue to me as well, have it in my monte carlo and they have never separated.
One thing mentioned that i never even thought to check before i ordered was the fold down on the back seats. How close do they get to flat?

They get pretty close to flat but are about 4" from being completely flat. You can unblot and take out the seat bottoms adn they will then fold flat though.

As for dual zone, it would nice to have it as an option at least. It would get used EVERY day in our vehicle. My wife keeps the auto on 74 and I keep it on 67. That is a HUGE difference.

I do agree with you. It should be an option. Matter of fact, I assumed it had dual zone at the price I paid. I never checked though because I didn't care if it did or not. It should be an option on the SLT packages at least.

Keep in mind guys, this SUV is not the mid or even high end market vehicle. To get the features you are talking about, you simply have to move up to a higher priced vehicle. Seriously, if they added these features the Terrain would cost as much as the Acadia. Then why bother?

I would have liked to have seen keyless access and start on the Terrain/Equinox.

For me, most of these things aren't a big deal..

1. I've had vehicles with dual zone climate control and find that it's rarely used. I think in a vehicle the size of the Terrain/Nox there wouldn't be much temp difference anyway

2. I do agree that a power passenger seat should be an option...or at least have the same height/lumbar power adjustment that is standard on even the base model driver seat.

3. Yes, seat memory should be included when you opt for the 8 way power seat

4. Not a big deal to me that no HID option exists

5. I think the digital display along with the analog gauges is just fine

6. Power folding mirrors would be nice, but my garage door openings have plenty of width and I only use touchless car washes.

7. When I was shopping for a small SUV that those with "fold flat" seats either had a 2 or 3 step process or lack of rear seat padding to achieve the flatness. I think the compromise on the Terrain/Nox was worth not having complete flatness.
