Got to go to the event and it was amazing. Test drove both equinox's (4 & 6cyl), along with rav4 and CR-V. I most say equinox def took the show. Most ppl agreed. I can't wait for the 2012's to come out so I can get ours.

If anyone can go to this it is def fun and pressure free. No one trying to sell you a car or talk you into buying one. http://www.mainstreetinmotion.com/Default.aspx

Also got to drive a camero, traverse, cruze and elantra. Going back tomorrow to try a vette and the v8 camero convertible as the lines were very long for both.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be attending the one in late October.

Any thoughts regarding the power difference between the 4 and 6 cylinder model Equinox?
The I4 will have all the get up and go you need. I have the I4 and a heavy foot and don't regret it. Do you need to power to get moving or for towing? If you will be towing a lot with it, or don't care about gas prices then the v6 may be for you. If you just want to drive and maybe tow light loads then go with the I4. But search the forum a little the newer I4's seem to have some issues, they just don't make them like they used too when I got mine Haha

They seemed to drive similar, i test drove both the 4cyl and 6cyl on the terrain and equinox. So the 4 is def enough, but like Cotton said, it seems the 4 cyl is having some bad issues right now and GM is dumbfounded on the cause. I'm holding off on the equinox till i hear this is resolved or if the 2012 models are better. I'm also debating leasing now instead of buying.
