Hi all–
I received and installed my luggage cross bars today. I placed them at the outer positions both front and back and WOW! What a racket coming from above. With all of the emphasis GMC put on the quietness of the Terrain cabin, these things certainly break the silence. I found a mention of possibly installing them "backwards" would create more wind noise, but I don't see how it's possible to install them "backwards".
I may take them off if I don't plan on using them for a while.

It is possible to install them backwards. Look for the arrow on the top of them.

I don't hear any noise,
I don't hear a thing either...with the cross bar situated in their rear most position as recommended to reduce turbulance...the Nox is q-u-i-e-t

You won't hear any noise if they are oriented in the right direction, and you will if they aren't. Simple as that.
