I bought a 2010 GMC Terrain SLT-2 V6 AWD I bought it from the dealer used and it didn't have the towing package so I am looking for a hitch but I don't want one that hangs down below the bumper and looks universal I want one that hides up in the bumper and all you see is where the reciever tube comes out of the factory hole that is in the bumper so anybody got any pictures of hitches on there terrain or equinox?

cross posting from a new thread I just made as I need a timely response to purchase one...

Does anyone actually have a flat carrier that can fold installed on their Equinox? I will trust that the Terrain bumper has the same curve and clearance as the Nox...???...???

I'm trying to decide between a 48" or 60" (the latter could cause brake light coverage depending on how packed).
As I was just looking at that bumper, it was hard to see a folding one not hitting the bumper...
I'll be installing the Class 3 2" hitch just for the extra tongue weight ability (I know the towing limits).

Please specify if you have the small lip kind (3") or the basket edges that go up 4 to 6"...

I'm thinking to get an aluminum one for the weight advantage (single girl here so I need to be able to manipulate it easily when traveling..)
I'll want to be able to use it for basic luggage or a bike when needed. Any advice on the 48" vs. 60" for a bike?

THANK YOU!

are you looking for wholesale hitches exclusive to Chevy or just aftermarket hitches in general? I got a custom hitch off this site and threw it up well.

I can show you a picture of the Hitch U-Haul threw on, cost less than what the dealer would've charged.

FYI buy it online at hitchdepot.com and install yourself with helping hands in under 15 min.
Just had a hitch installed on my Terrain and it is much more hidden than I thought it would be. I plan on trimming the filler piece and putting it back to hide it even more. I will post pictures soon.
I got my hitch from amazon.com The Brand name is Curt class III and the model # is 13591 I paid $125.00 for the 2" receiver hitch and $23.00 for the plug and play wiring kit with free shipping. The hitch fit like a glove and is hidden by the bumper. I took my time installing it and it took about 1-1/2 hours to install. I have a 2012 Terrain.
