I know the documentation says the usb supports the "i" family or a usb FAT32 device. Is their any way to make the WP7 phones work... I am using a HTC HD7 right now.

Nope do not hold your breath on that one. Android only works partially. USB is a good charging option though. It does work very well with jump drive MP3's too.

I have a Samsung Focus (WP7 device) and if I want to listen to it, I just plug it into the audio jack... You may be able to link it via bluetooth as an Mp3 player rather than a phone. The voice controls, etc. won't work, but you could listen to your music that way.
