That doesn't sound right, my fob for my 2011 will work at least from 40 or 50 feet. That's the about the farthest I have tried it so far. You might try cleaning the battery contacts in the fob also.ciscokid said:

BTW where does one find an app for remote starting with On-Star?
The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter functions work up to 195 feet (60 m) away from the vehicle.
