Is this the sound of a CV axle or bearing hub starting to go bad?

Noticed a couple of weeks back and still doing it.
When in drive or reverse if I push the throttle at a stand still I get one little bright tick noise.
Only makes that noise from a dead stop, no noise at any other time while driving or turning, just from a dead stop.
Im not punching the gas pedal, just taking off normally.
If I barely give it gas to go it doesnt make a sound. Weird.

To me, it doesn't sound like a bad wheel bearing. A video of it may help in the diagnosis. Also, it doesn't sound like it is near failure yet. Maybe continue to drive to monitor if it gets worse.

Check your engine and trans mounts. Most modern mounts have a safety stop when rubber connection fails, and you may be hearing one touching the stop.
Very light throttle will not lift engine up enough to let it hit the stop due to its weight.
Just some food for thought, bearings in hubs hum, CV will click on turns.

I didnt think about the mounts, makes sense to me. Good call.
A single click upon takeoff is all i hear.
Im going to order a complete set today from the rock, gm genuine. 3 tranny and 1 motor mount.
Only problem is the rear tranny mount is the only one out of stock so i'll
have to look around for that one.
Wifey is out of state for a couple more weeks and she dont want me working under the truck
with no one else around in case of you know what, so it will be at least 2 to 3 weeks out.

As long as it's on quality jack stands or ramps you will be fine.
My wife feels the same way BTW.

If the jacks don't hold, I can guarantee that she won't yell at you ! Sorry, poor taste.

Update.
Ordered all 4 mounts today. Genuine gm all.
Engine mount from the rock and the tranny mounts from gmpartsdirect.
With the strike going on i'm hoping i'll get them before the end of the year, lol.

Edit...
Just checked my email and the rock has shipped the motor mount already, expected on friday the 13th.

I have been having issues with the clicking, or popping sounds when turning left or right in 2010 GMC Terrain SLT and was told t is the CV axles. I hope so because I found them on EBAY for both driver n passenger side for $94 and a neighbor to put them on.
