I have about 400 miles on my 2010 Equinox, for about the last 100 miles I have left the ECO mode on and i have noticed an increase in gas milage. So is it ok to leave the ECO mode on all the time or when should i turn it on?

You can leave it on. It gives you about 1 mpg extra. More info... http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2009/06/chevrolet-equinox.html

Quote: Specifically, Eco mode locks up the Equinox’s torque converter at lower speeds — most automatics do this at highway speeds — and changes shift patterns in the four-cylinder’s six-speed auto. It cuts the engine’s speed at idle, too, but it doesn’t affect the accelerator pedal. The net effect? About 1 mpg more with it on, Smith said.

“It could have a broader range,” he said. “We could get a lot more out of it than we did … but drivability has to be within certain acceptable limits.”

To me it does seems to have a tad less power on hard accelerations, but overall I prefer to leave it on as I like the way it shifts better when in ECO mode.
Same here. It doesnt seem to hunt for the right gear near as much.

Where is the ECO option?
I have the SLE-2 V6 AWD, I never noticed the button or is it not on every terrain?

You won't find it on the 6 cylinder.
