I drive verygently in eco mode ,mostly highway, and am only getting the advertised city mileage... 23,000 kms on my 2011...

Think we should sue the MNR and GM for ridiculous test parameters and misleading claims....

i have just under 12,000 on my 2010 and i am sitting at an average of 10.4 l/100km with the majority of my driving being city. I would like to see it come down a bit. i was at 9.3 heading into winter last year after about 5-6,000 km

Still beats the pants off my 2004 SC/SS Monte Carlo which is averaging about 14 l/100km Although the Monte is a tad more fun to drive. >:D

My 2010 AWD 4 cyl has 40,000 k.m. on it. We get about 28 on the highway. The dic will show around 9.0 litrres per 100k but hand calculating it will be 10.8. Had a Buick Enclave AWD before & it didn't do a lot worse than this Terrain. Thats what I should get with the 6 cyl not the 4 cyl.

It is so rare to actually attain the advertised mileage on ANY vehicle given the testing criteria.

This weekends trip on our 2011 4cyl AWD we averaged 7.2L/100km (32mpg) on the highway. That was with A/C on, +25C outside mild wind. Wife, 2 kids, dogs. On the way home we also had a small beer fridge in the back too.

Maybe they did the testing using Imperial Gallons! So us US users never get good US MPG.

Good friend has an Equinox FWD/4cyl and has a hystorical average of 7.1km since he bought it last Dec. He however is a salesman that does a ton of highway and here in Ontario, anything over 100km (60mph) is instant ticket so speed is lower than a lot of people drive that complain about poor mileage.. It's all relative, we're trading a 2006 Chrysler 300C that weighs less, has much less frontal area and is more aerodynamic that manages 12.5l average highway and 10.5l best ever on a 3hr trip..

I have a 2010 4cylinder all wheel drive (with K&N CAI) around town average 10-11.5L/100km with 8.0-9.7L/100km on the highway with a strict speed of 100km to see if it makes a difference. Well yes
Speed up to 110km and the highway drops to 10L/100km

Does the Canadian border count as Canada? :) Seriously, on the State-side average is 21.5 mpg & maybe, just maybe have seen near 25 mpg on a long trip. I miss my Toyota at the pump! :'(

Just did a trip from Toronto to Disney Florida & back. Average for the whole trip, including city driving around Orlando was 8.9/100. I don't think that's to bad at 65-70mph highway speed with air on all the way.

I am here in Canada too and have a 2011 Terrain SLE-2 AWD V6. My tank is 79.12 Litres/20.9 Gallons. I get on average of 500KM/310Miles to a tank.

Needless to say I am not overtly happy about the gas mileage. I do LOVE my Terrain but my 1995 Dodge Ram 4x4 gets better mileage.

Thoughts?
