Yep I'll need to check for and correct any ridges then I'll inspect the hatching in the cylinders. It's only 6 years old but at 163,000 miles it could probably use it.

So how are you going to keep all the debris from falling down below? Just cover up as best you can during honing and washing afterwards?

I was hoping to do it with the engine still in. Pull the head, I think there’s a bracket I need to remove to pull the oil pan then just push the pistons through the top

So you're going to hone the cylinders with the engine still installed?

Are you replacing these rings with the engine out of the vehicle, or still in (if that’s even possible)?
