IceBear said:For this you need both of your original key fobs;
- insert one of the two learned keys into ignition and cycle on only once - do not start vehicle
- insert the second learned key into ignition and cycle on only once - do not start vehicle
- within 10 seconds, insert new cut key fob and turn to start vehicle [do not cycle first]
- your new key fob is now programmed.
If you don't have both of your original key fobs;
- one has to order new from GM, VIN specific [key will come pre-cut to your truck] or ebay and get it copy cut, then have GM service to re-program/learn entire vehicle, takes about 1/2 hr approx.
No worries....SuperMat64 said:Thank you IceBear you'Ve been faster than me !
As I stated in reply #6,, the Terrain/Nox requires both of the original keys to relearn a newly cut key ( and follow those steps) otherwise you have to take your newly cut eBay key to a Dealer and the service dept. can force a relearn ( on the entire vehicle, locks windows etc) and this takes approx 1/2 hr.siamand said:Hello all
I have terrain sle 2012 with one original key , and i got another key from ebay
Now :
1- how to make this key start the ingen after i cut it
2- how to make the lovk , unlock and panic button work on my vehicle
That is my understanding too might be able to be done at a locksmith. If you have the proper FOB it is easy to program.GMC Mike said:If you don't have both of your original key fobs;

This is what was posted in the post above. Seems you need 2 Programed keys to program the 3rd. Or You need to do as described above and get it done at the dealer.

Is the for getting worn out, or the key portion of it. If it is the electronics, then you can move the key to the new fob - it is merely pinned in with a roll pin. If it is the key, then there are many places that can do it - and most are probably cheaper than a dealer. If it is under 3 yrs old, then the BtB warranty ought to cover it for free.Phantm006 said:I have a a fob that is working but is getting worn out. I'd like to replace it. I have it and my other fob. How do I order a third and have it cut? I would assume the dealer can cut it for me or do I have to purchase it from the dealer to have them cut it?
Its the fob. The unlock button has fell in. It still works but i have to put the end of my house key in the hole and puth the button. Im using my wife's fob. It's brand new as she rarely drives. Thats usually my job.Rit said:Is the for getting worn out, or the key portion of it. If it is the electronics, then you can move the key to the new fob - it is merely pinned in with a roll pin.
