I have my remote start set up for the heated seats to come on when I use the remote start. My wife is complaining that they do not turn off when she gets into car and puts her foot on the brake and presses start.

Should the heated seats turn off as soon as she does this?

I have not noticed this myself.

Thank You

My '20 Traverse when HVAC system is on auto will automatically reduce seat heat as air temperature rises in the vehicle. Same with the steering wheel heat.

Good to know, I have hers set to auto. Does it show on the led's that heated seats are on during the temp adjusting time?

The heat level led's will be on. In cold weather the low setting led stays on a long time. I usually have to manually shut the seat off when it's in the low to upper 30's after awhile.

Hmmm,on the Terrain the only time the heat led's are on is when I manually push them on. Never saw any lit up when I remote start the car & the heated seats are on.

Maybe I do have an issue.

That's how it is on my 2018 Equinox.
I have the heated and cooled seats set to Auto.
In the winter when I get in the car after it has been remote started no LED lights are showing on the heated switch.
When I press the start button in the car no LED lights are showing on the heated seat switch.
At that time I need to press the heated seat switch to keep the seat heat on.

I checked the car this morning to be sure.

On our 2018 the low setting is low enough we usually turn down the seat heat to low and leave it there.
We start on high, lower it to medium, then low and leave it on low.

Thank you Lee for going through the trouble of double checking this morning. Good to know.

My wife is complaining that the heated seats stay on after the start button has been pushed, when started using to remote. I told her once the seat warms up it should shut off & the heat she feel on the seat is her body heat.

If you use the autostart and the temperature is low enough and you have the auto seat to turn on heat it will heatbput slowly. Once you start the car in order for it to stay on you have to push the button to light of the LED's to show its on. Once you push the start button the auto heat feature stops and you have to turn them on yourself with the button. Depends how long she lets it warms up and how warm the seat will get.
