Hello new here, but I have searched this forum as guest many times.

I'm having an issue after trying to put a diode in the relay that's tapped to the low beam harness, guessing I put it the wrong way and blew a fuse somewhere. Now there is no power to the Driver side low beam harness, Checked the BCM#4 fuse as many have mentioned on other threads, and it's good. What is weird is that the passenger side harness is still working, any ideas what this could be, another fuse somewhere?

No the stock H11 is not burned out, it works on the other side, but not the drivers side.




Hmmm...I guess nobody has ran into this issue.
As of now my relay is tapped to the park light, the one that doesn't blink.
Works good, just can't switch to only park lights if I wanted.
Not that I have had to do that

The low beam circuit is a bit puzzling. Since the low beams are also used for DRL, it is not a simple fuse and relay circuit. Either GM is lowering the voltage for DRL or they are using pulse width modulation. I am wondering if there is some active circuitry after the fuse. Maybe even in the BCM. If so, maybe that circuit was damaged when you short circuited the low beams with the diode. Of course I could be totally wrong. Maybe someone has the wiring diagram for the low beam circuitry. That would help us to diagnose the problem.

It is a pulsed circuit controlled by the BCM. Onxbear has posted a ton of info on the wiring. Do a search on the installation of fog lights and the attempt to have them on "all" of the time, without having to switch them each start-up.

oakrdrs187, have you resolved this problem? If so, what was the cause of it?
I have searches this site for a low beam circuit diagram, but cannot find one. Let us know how this is going.

Did you ever resolve your issue i just came a cross installing HIDS for my wifes truck. Everything was working fine until the next day where both low beams are out, high beams still work, just replaced relay num 56 (head lamp/hi) hoping it would resolve the issue but nothing happened.
