Do some reading on Mode Door and Blend Doors in your A/C system.
More than likely the plastic gears in the Mode Door are stripped and the Actuator needs to be replaced.
If you are handy you can do it, the part is not that expensive.
There are actually three actuators so follow the clicking and make sure you replace the right one.
As mentioned need to remove a few panel covers, glove box etc and look at the actuator motors. Are the connections still good, watch to see if motors / actuator turns, unhook the connections and see if doors operate open and close fully. I did the same on my Dodge journey a bit uncomfortable laying upside down on your back with legs over the front seats. Phillps screws mount the actuators have a small ratchet, stubby screw driver and I found a philips bit and a 1/4" small box end wrench came in handy too. Pain in the ass for sure but not that difficult to inspect and verify what is or is not working.
