GM is not denying any warranty repairs on covered vehicle built by "Old GM". The reference story states GM lawyers are saying that the Impala owner can't sue "New GM" about a car built by "Old GM", which is what was agreed upon by the judge overseeing the bankruptcy.

It is a mis-leading headline if nothing else. The lady who initiated the law suit, wants the same fix on her impala as the police impalas got but the problem is she needs a 4 wheel alignment, not the rear rods replaced. What I don't understand is if her tires wore out at 6000 miles, why didn't she take it in and get the alignment done under normal warranty. Alignments are covered to 7500 miles and if an alignment causes tire damage at 6000 miles, the dealer replaces the tires at no charge.

Because she's a woman? Hate to say it but most women are oblivious to the maintenance of their automobiles.
Glad you said "most". Being in the service business I have found plenty of women who know their stuff and their are lots of clueless men out there too. I had a female technician that could run circles around most men with her automotive knowledge.

Everyone knows that a car saleman will rip off a woman real quick!
I find that the majority of salesman/saleswoman, selling any product, will try to get the better of any customer, male or female. I believe that's where "Buyer Beware" comes from.
