Really tough question to get a solid answer for. You have to consider break in period, driving conditions, weather, driver habits. My personal experiance with other GM vehicles since 96' or so is that I can pretty easily beat the EPA est for highway driving on a trip and in warmer weather with my current daily driver I can better the EPA est highway by 10% or so, thats including highway and local roads.
My experience (30,000 miles & 11 months of driving) is the low end is easily beaten but the high end takes more skill and weather that is calm and warm and speeds less than 70. My average is 26 + or -.
