I just bought my 2022 Terrain a couple days ago and was wondering if there was a way to turn off the front camera view when I put it in drive after putting it in reverse?

I have an '18 instead of a '22, but I don't have an option to do that, and suspect that you don't either. My guess is that it's an unchangeable feature. One reason for it to remain active is for safety reasons, in case something (eg. small child, animal) moved to be in front of your vehicle while you were backing up. A second reason to remain active is for parking assistsance, such as when you're parallel parking - nice to be able to see the vehicle (if any) parked ahead of you.

The cameras turn off (at least no longer display on the screen) automatically once you get above 5 mph. This is from my Owner's Manual:
