While on extended drive today we experienced fogging windshield with Auto Climate Control. Had the temp set at 72 with outside temp at 40 and raining. Had to keep putting in defrost mode with fan at highest speed to keep clear. Then the interior felt cold, I actually put the temp above 80 to keep inside warm. Doesn’t make any sense.

Also noticed after an hour at 70 mph we stopped at rest area and it seemed steam was coming from the engine compartment. Thought mabe it was just rain on warm engine or radiator. Popped the hood and could not find a leak, although we could smell glycol from coolant. Fans were not running and the coolant tank was full and slightly warm to the touch. The temp gauge was slightly below the halfway mark ( why no actual temps? ). Hour and a half later when we stopped again, no steam. Going to stop by dealer in the AM and talk to them. Wonder if the two are related.

Thanks for the reminder about the defrost!

Before going to the grocery store today, we filled up the gas tank and waited in line for the touchless car wash.
There were probably 6 vehicles ahead of us and the temp gauge was just cooler than the middle position (around 7 o'clock position).

After the rinse cycle and just before dry off, the front windshield totally fogged up.
We had the temp @ around 22 Celsius (near 70F I guess) and manual fan speed of 1 or 2 with vent to floor.
Turned the front and rear defrost on and had to peer through a little clearing to see whether it was time to proceed to the dry-off area!
Once outside, we had to sit for 30-45 seconds and rolled all windows down to clear the windshield fog.

Outside temp was around 39 F and very damp.
It was foggy this morning and foggy later tonight.

We will call the dealer sometime this week and ask about this.
We haven't received a recall notice yet.

This all sound familiar.
We took ours in for the same issues last year. And the dealer found nothing. Well today as we are back into the wet weather we are back to the same issue. Fogging at the bottom of the windshield with the defrost set to high temp and fan set to high. With the temp set at the highest setting we are FREEZING. Nothing but cold air.

Now switch from front defrost to any other setting and we roast like a chicken ;(

Well back into the dealer as soon as we can
