I have owned several vehicles with Auto Climate Control but the Equinox is the first I've had that allows you to change the fan speed.

For those that haven't discovered this yet in the Vehicle Personalization Menu you can set the fan delivery speed to Low, High or Normal. Normal is the default setting.

We have had weeks of 95 - 103 degree days here and the other day I went into the menu and changed the fan speed to High. Result: Noticeably better cooling from the A/C. So if you need a little boost in cooling from the Auto Climate Control system give it a try.

When would the fan be on High? All the time when in the automatic climate control mode? Good info....thanks
Apparently it just allows a higher maximum speed. When you get close or reach the target temperature the fan speed decreases. I still haven't figured out why the Auto Climate Control couldn't just choose the higher fan speed when needed rather than having to get in the menu and change it manually. Kind of a strange deal to me.

I too have wondered why there is a setting for this. Our Acadia has the auto climate control and it chooses the fan speed on it's own. Works well too.
