Depending on price, and feedback on the experience of the drive train in the Lacrosse and '12 Malibu, I would consider trading for it. Hope they really get the EPA quoted mileage - time will tell.
According to a YouTube video, Eassist is not classified as a hybrid. It runs with a smaller battery and is used mainly to start the car after a stop at a light or to add extra power such as going up a hill. Which means that the car is never just powered by the hybrid system.
In the Buick LaCross, when you order the four cylinder, you will get Eassist.
