Wife drives it 90% of the time.
Took it in for 2nd oil change (dino 5W30) couple weeks ago at about 12,750 km.
First oil change was at around 6,000 km or so and we had Castrol synthetic put in (over 2 X the price of regular 5W30).
Waited 3 hours while Service Tech investigated smell of gasoline in the oil.
Tech did some PCM and ECM programming referring to TSB's he'd read.
Among other things, too much gas was being injected into combustion chamber on cold start condition.
I decided to drive it and after 2 tankfuls of Shell 87 octane, resetting AVG MPG computer each tankful, happy to report:
1) smell of gasoline in oil (on the dipstick) is gone or barely noticeable
2) averaging 19.4 mpg after last oil change . We were averaging 17.2 to 17.5 before the reprogram.
Oh happy day!
