Is there a way to keep the DRL from coming on automatically each time I start my Terrain? :banghead:
Nope - they can be turned off manually, each time, but not automatically. If you figure out a way, pls let me know.

Why do you want to make you vehicle less visible to oncoming traffic? They really help others see you as you are coming down the road towards them.
I could be wrong here, but most people that want to disable DRL's have upgraded to HID lighting and want to do it to save bulb life seeing they're expensive to replace.

In NY you get a discount for DRL's. However the discount is noted that the vehilce has DRL's as equipment so you could disconnect and still get the discount.

When I drive in Canada on a lot of 2 way highways that are flat (At least where I drive) I like that the vehilces have DRL's. I haven't been in Canada for a while though since the greenback and the lonnie are close to par.

I think if you contact GTPprix in a private manner you might get a little farther seeing he probably wants to keep his member ship but would probably love to help out other members.

there is 2 ways to disable drl.
1) you have to manually turn off/on the light every time you start the car.
2) take out the fuse in the fuse box.
for those who want to use install hid, second option is the best choice but just remember hid is ILLEGAL

No one has been able to find that "magic fuse" to disable DRLs in the 2010-13 Lambda vehicles. Maybe you can tell us which one it is.

I far as I am aware HIDS in a projector housing are not illegal here in Canada it is when you put them in a reflector housing is the problem.
A projector housing cuts off the beam no matter Halogen or HID a reflector housing will scatter the HID beam creating dangerous glare to oncoming traffic.
The Terrain all models come with low beam projector housings on the Nox only the top model LTZ comes with low beam projector housings.
As for turning of the DRLS as far as I know you cannot turn them off. You can shut the headlights off at night when parked only by rotating the light switch ring
back towards to driver but as soon as you put the vehicle in gear the lights come back on.

sorry my bad. you can not disconnect the drl because it uses the same fuse with the low beam.
but you can try to cover up the auto on/off so your light always at full power.

Can you please explain what this means, and also how one would accomplish this ?

Thanks

@Rit - I think ducle1211 means to cover up the ambient light sensor in the dash or interior rear-view mirror (what he's calling "the auto on/off")?
Sure, this will prevent the DRL from pulsing the voltage to the headlights.
But - @ducle1211 - if that's what you mean, the drawback is the center console music player will be dimmed (as the vehicle's BCM thinks it's night). I wear sunglasses as I drive during the day, so I don't want the center console display any darker than full brightness during the day.
And *I'm not sure about this part* the gauge lights might be soldered to the gauge cluster (not easily replaced). So having those lights always on unnecessarily may lead to higher unnecessary maintenance costs?
