Door locks when shifting out of park

I have a question about the door locks.

Is there a way to disable the doors from locking when you shift the Equinox into gear from park?

My reason for asking is what happens when I want to take the Nox to a car wash (which it badly needs after the snow we had)? Once the attendant shifts it out of park and into neutral so the car wash will pull it through the doors will lock. Once the car comes through the wash and they try to enter the car the doors will be locked thus locking the attendants and myself out. I had a Oldmobile Alero before this and I was able to disengage that feature. But I can't seem to figure out if the Nox can do that.

Under Vehicle Personalization there is a setting for the Power Door Locks called Unlocked Door Anti Lock Out. When on, this feature will keep the driver door from locking when the door is open. BUT I don't know if that includes when shifting out of park. It should but I'd give it a try and see what happens.
I'm confused. Wouldn't the act of the carwash guy opening the door to get out unlock it?

Don't they pull it up to the magic machine, throw it in Neutral, turn off the engine, and toss the keys in the seat? That's how I've always seen it.

The only way I can think of that happening is if it was put into gear, and the driver jumped out the window as it was going up....

What am I missing?

Good point, with him getting out the drivers door will indeed be unlocked.

Yeah, this is a non-issue really.

Not all carwashes are the same. But after reading the responses I thought about it more. And I guess the carwash guy would drive it up to the area where the machine would pull it through and he would put it in neutral and have to open the door to get out. But I don't think they always throw the keys on the seat, at least I have never seen them do that.

I was just concerned about the doors locking and having them screw around with trying to open it.
regardless of where the key is left the door wont lock. if you have a 2011 download the onstar mylink app for a little piece of mind. you can unlock your doors using that app. even calling onstar themselves unlocks the doors pretty fast.

I have a 2011 but I thought the app only worked for iPhones which I do not have. And yes, I didn't think about OnStar.
Its also on the andriod market. I have it and every now and again try to log on hoping that my 2010 will be supported ;D
Also, the doors employ the two pull to unlock mechanism. Pull twice on the handle and they will unlock. :D
