door leaks

6000 miles now, and overall a great vehicle. An issue of concern however, is that the bottom insides of the doors get coated with mud and salt. Apparently a seal issue, and will be checking this out with the dealer. This could be a real problem down the road. Anybody having this issue?

Same here, it's been mentioned on the forum before by others as well.
Highly unlikely anything will be done by GMC since it's a painted surface and not inside the vehicle (it's below the "cabin" line, so to speak).

We just take a wet towel and wipe it down.
Other than being a minor inconvenience, I don't believe it poses any long term problems if you keep it clean.
Clean the seal every other fill up. Its a PITA but it will keep it from rusting like they do on the 05-09 Cobalts.

Also, your dealer should have some seal lube to buy. However, check out Fluid Film. http://www.fluid-film.com/

It is an AMAZING protectant and lubricant. Ive used it on my 03 Golf that had literally every door groaning and popping and after doing it at night, the noise was gone in the morning. Its lanolin based so its not corrosive nor will it attract water. Its about 400 times better than WD40.
