that is from March...
So they took data that was most likely from before Feb.
The gas pedal and other quality issues were just barely coming to light.---- and we know Toyota was up to some very sneaky shenanigans... aside from the gas pedal- there was trans issues- and data recoding/court issues.

And from Consumer Reports... I dont trust anything they say.
Wasnt Consumer Reports- the same ones that recommended the the NEW Toyota Tundra over the Silverados and F-150s?

the problem was-- they recommended the Tundra as the greatest and hailed it as Gods vehicle-- the problem was that they said- based on past performance- last years models etc... they praised it.
The problem with this was--- that the Tundra they were recommending was TOTALLY NEW- redesigned.
Based on past performance? the new had nothing to do with the old.... if its totally new- how can it have past performance? more shenanigans.

I just posted it; if you don't like or turst CR that's up to you.
Any kind of ranking...yes, even Consumer reports...must be taken with a grain of salt. There is some truth to what they say, but you have to keep in mind that Honda/Toyota are always pretty safe bets to keep near the top of such things, (nobody will question it) and just because a certain maker scores near the bottom doesn't mean everything they make is crap.
Consumer report is the biggest anti-American rag out there. They were caught by Ford slamming the Ford Focus a few years ago VS the Corolla, for crash safety issues. They were later forced to admit the Focus was unavailable with the optional side air bags at test time, but the Corolla had the option. They forgot to mention. And yes, Toyota was off the desirable "recco" list for about months when their cars were running outta control. Then back despite no remedy applied yet! Can you say bias???

Also, they compared my 2003 Yukon with a Toyota Landcruiser, when I first got it. The 2 were similar size, weight, towing, gas MPG, etc. They called the Yukon "ponderous, gas guzzler, bulky, lousy handling." But re: the essentially equal size/features Landcruiser ..... "MPG naturally low do to generous size, tuff to park due to great people carrying ability/cargo size, handling slow but this is acceptable for big Ute.." I laughed my ass off then canceled my subscription with an angry letter and have been ratting them out every day since .

Just for a FYI, they do have an agenda.
