Color code

Hello,

I just registered on this forum as a new Equinox 2010 owner (Montreal, Quebec, Canada - 1LT, Silver, Interface, Cargo).

Everything is as good as expected, but I definitely need to replace the roof antenna with a shark fin model. I want to order it from Visual Garage recommended in this discussion, but I need the color code.

So, anybody can point me where to find this code?

Thanks,
John

This info is from GM. I don't know if it is of any help or not.

Silver Ice Metallic

Color Code - GAN
Touch Up Paint Number - WA-636R
I apreciate the fast answer.

Yes, the GAN[/color] sounds familiar, but I have no idea what 'Touch up paint' could be.
Look on your glovebox door. Under the RPO codes there is a alphanumeric number that is preceded by a W usually.

For example ours is WA431P for Merlot Jewel Metallic.

Let me know if it is a success and always have a good reception and no problem with am/fm/xm, i also want to get rid of that ugly stick antenna...
Me too. I think I might go with one of the black stubby ones instead of ordering a shark fin (I am ordering way too many things lately!) because they look better (albeit, not as cool as a shark fin) and should still get good reception.

It's not about getting rid of the original antenna, but a more practical reason: here in Quebec we have car shelters during the winter in front of the garaj door. And I have trouble with the antenna on my 6 years old Aveo5! So, the 'big brother' Equinox will not get in for sure :( .
The stubby antenna will not help, only the shark fin should be good. It's at the limit with the cargo traverses on the roof.
