Does anybody care for their chrome on a Terrain other than routine washings? Is anybody using chrome polish or a chrome protectant to guard against corrosion? What is/are the product(s) that you recommend for chrome care?

Is it really chrome or just plastic that looks like chromw? I believe plastic on the exterior. I have metal inserts that have a chrome coating between the door windows and the rear windows that I wax with the wax and dry.
I believe the "chrome" on our vehicles is really just thin metal with a chrome coating....not the chrome plated steel that carmakers used to use. I just use the same polish that I put on the paint for the chrome trim and such..
yea, its plastic...not chrome....use detail spray on it, and hope it doesnt bubble
Tap it with your finger nail. Dull flat sound...plastic. Tinny sound..metal.

We just ran into our first issue with our 'Nox. While I was detailing the 'Nox the other day, I noticed the chrome on the fog lamp bezel has bubbled in two places. I pointed it out to the service manager today when I was getting an oil change/tires rotated. He said to bring it back in to get it fixed, as they would need to order a new one. Anybody else come across this issue yet?

Not on that speciffic part but on the rear liftgate, yes.
I understand it's a somewhat common issue with a TSB or some such thing from GM to the dealerships on how to handle it.
I just noticed the other day that mine is bubbling, I'm going to wait until spring and then take it in to get replaced.
dammit, i was hoping this issue wouldn't pop up. i was thinking the same thing last weekend while washing my Summit White Nox, 'hmmmm, i wonder how long this chrome will last.....'

My Service Tech mentioned this piece to me as well, apparently they have replaced a couple so far.

Will have to keep an eye on this piece I guess, but no issues as of yet. (knock on wood)

on the liftgate ghrome, when they replace it make sure they order new GMC logos as well as they are seperate part numbers . IE: new chrome does not come with logos..
