so i just replaced the head gaskets on a 2008 chevy equinox 3.4l and got everything back together but now a ticking noise is coming from the push of rods and lifters. does anybody know what this could be ?

@brice cates : Did you replace the Lifters? I'm no mechanic, but I had a similar noise with my 2002 Impala from leaking Intake Gaskets after only 4-5 years from brand new. When I replaced the Gaskets, I also replaced almost every part I had to touch to get to them ... and I replaced the Lifters because of the ticking noise. I think they were damaged by the coolant infiltration ...
