CEL - Emission then more??

A week or so ago my wife got a CEL. It was funny as I got one the same day on my car (SKY). Since the weather went from 80+ to 60 degrees. Both cars were due to emissions (loose gas cap kind of warning) after a call to OnStar. Mine went away after the next fuel fill but the Nox had only a one trip reprieve before the light went back on. No I notice the auto-start does not work... Related?? Going in Friday morning... Anyone else??

If there are active CEL codes stored, remote start is disabled.
Check out this thread - no idea if it's the same for you, but it could shed a little light on what you can look for/talk about when you go into the dealer. They had an issue with their gas cap and check engine light...well, you can read it...

Thank you SUMr616... I thought I had read something like this in here before... I printed it and will go to shop with it in hand. :thumb:

Keep me updated in regards to your progress at the dealer. Feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions in the meantime. Thank you.

Went in -- the light had gone off the day before -- but re-appeared when I started to drive to the dealer. They pulled the code an found it to be a loose connection on the PCV hose. Reattached same and cleared the code p0171.... All good :thumb:
