I appreciate someone can educate me why the carbon buildup on the spark plugs are not the same. The one in cylinder 1 is the worst and the 4th one is relatively cleaner. Thanks.

On the 3.6, i believe the number 6 is always the dirtiest.... if im not mistaken, its the plug closest to the pcv valve on the valve cover... the pcv tends to clog up the little breather holes....
Is there a pcv near your dirtiest plug?

Thanks RBarrios. Yeah, cylinder 1 is directly above the PVC on the 2.4L and to the left are the VVT solenoids.

Since the factory recommended interval is 97,500mi. they really don't look that bad.
My cam shaft positioner went bad about that time. My car would stumble on acceleration and stall at red lights. That's when I got proactive and changed the plugs at the same time as the positioner.

I took my car to my independent shop after that for the big maintenance period which I think is the 97500.
