So then let me get this straight, I have the same problem but I am not sure if I should be haveing it. My 2011 GMC Terrain SLE-2 / 2.4 has the Pioneer speaker system but I dont get any sound out of it. Shouldn't I be getting some bass, or is it also only anc.
So here is what you are up against:
1. When you go to GMC.com and click on SLE-2 and while on that page click on standard equipment...it says this...
* Audio system, AM/FM/XM stereo with CD player Graphic Interface Display (GID), Radio Data System (RDS), auxiliary jack input, speed-compensated volume, USB port receptacle and outside temperature display (STD)
* Audio system feature Pioneer premium 8-speaker system with subwoofer and amplifier
*XM Radio is standard on nearly all 2011 GM models and includes 3 months of trial service. Get over 170 channels, including: commercial-free music, sports, news, talk, entertainment, comedy, family and kids' channels, and much more. With XM's incredible range of programming, everything worth listening to is on XM (Requires a subscription sold separately by XM after the first 90 days. Available only in the 48 contiguous United States and District of Columbia. Visit gm.xmradio.com for details.)
* Bluetooth for phone personal cell phone connectivity to vehicle audio system and HMI (Human Machine Interface) [/color]
ect...I think this is where you are thinking you have the Pioneer System...however...
If you continue to build your own...the page after color and rim selection gives you Audio selections and it is on that page where you pick Pioneer over the Standard radio system...
Audio System with CD Player $0
Audio System with Navigation $2,145
Rear Seat Entertainment System $1,295

The Audio System with Navigation has the Pioneer system...so if you don't have Factory Navigation I don't see how the Pioneer system with Sub is standard...but hey...websites can be confusing and since I don't have it, what do I know?
The way to know for sure what you are supposed to have is to check the window sticker...
Also known as the Monroney sticker it is a label required in the United States to be displayed on all new automobiles and includes the listing of certain official information about the car including ALL included equipment.
Each Monroney is unique to the vehicle to which it is attached...and contains the VIN # of the vehicle described to which it is attached.
It is a violation of Federal Law in the U.S. for the sticker to be removed by other than the consumer...however if requested by the consumer the Dealer may remove it as a service but MUST surrender it to the buyer who should keep it for their records.
Removal is a $10,000 fine with jail time...it's a serious matter.
Check your sticker to see if your SLE-2 was built with Pioneer.
But I think you misunderstand the website. IMHO it is NOT a standard SLE-2 feature...
