Back Glass

Just purchased a new 2011 equinox. Am I missing something? Does the back glass not open?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but isn't this something that should have been hashed out before you signed the purchase papers? ;) The Ford Escape is the only smaller SUV that I know of that has the separate glass opening..
