Does the factory integrated remote start act like most after-market systems with the cold start, and start the Terrain at low temps?
I don't see any settings for that in the Vehicle menu in the radio.

Remembered the hard way about the only starts 2 times via remote feature. Didn't go anywhere this weekend it was too darn cold. Started the Terrain for a cycle on Saturday and then again on Sunday and the remote didn't work this morning. took me all day to remember the 2 times start feature. i thought that was meant for back to back not over a 3 day period haha.

If you do the max 2 remote starts and then do not insert the key and turn it to on after the second start the computer won't allow another remote start. You would need to insert the key and turn it to the run position to reset it for two more remote starts.

RIT333, my aftermarket remote "AstroStart" could be programed to start at a certain temp and run for a certain length of time every so many minutes.....sure miss that remote. ;D
I remember the trouble the "professional" installers had (not Best Buy) installing it. That's why I opted for the factory remote this time.
I must have missed that info....you can only remote start the car 2 times? Is that correct? It sounds stupid...is there a reason for that if it's true?

Gary :

I think you might be referring to someone else with a remote-start complaint. I have it, but don't use it. I park in my garage, and it keeps the car fairly warm. Haven't found a reason to use it - except to test it once and show off another time !

RIT333, I was just commenting on your post to Cameron about not being able to program a start time.

I only use my remote start when the temps REALLY get low (below 20*). Can't put it in my 3 car garage because one bay has my Harley, one has our back up car (Tiberon) and the other one is cramed full of my wifes crap. ;D

I don't know when I lost control, but garages are suppost to be off limits to those of the female persuasion. ::) ;D
If she starts putting curtains on the windows, then I know all is lost.

Mat, are you kidding! That's my fun, driving like a fool, acting like a teenager car. ROTFLMAO
Besides it's a hassle getting it out from the back of my lot, closing/unclosing the gates....especially in the winter and getting around my kids car in the driveway. I do wash it regularly though to make it happy. ;D

I agree 100%!!!
Unless, on the very rare occasion (in my case, anyway), they volunteer to help clean it, or one of our vehicles, out!
;D  ;D
Then they are more than welcome to hang out, but just until the cleaning is done!
(Thankfully, the wife doesn't read this forum!)
