Luckily, I had ordered mine on the same day the dealership had an allocation so my order was preferenced quickly. With some luck, hopefully, I'll have a Thanksgiving present.

I live in Massachusetts so hopefully the shipping won't be too long.

Here are the status codes from my order, in case others out there are stalking their builds.

10/20/2011 (1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.
10/20/2011 (1102) Order entered via web.
10/20/2011 (2000) Order accepted by GM. Dealer used allocation to place order into production.
10/25/2011 (2500) Order preferenced. Order pulled to the production system.
10/25/2011 (3000) Order accepted by production control. Parts being ordered and production process is underway.
11/01/2011 (3100) Order available to sequence.
11/01/2011 (3300) Order scheduled for production. Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle.
11/01/2011 (3400) Order Broadcast (internal plant paperwork order produced). Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together.
11/14/2011 (3800) Order produced and vehicle is being prepared for shipping. For Cadillac, GMC and Buick customers, please contact your dealer or customer service for further updates as no further updates available at this time.
11/14/2011 (4000) Vehicle available to ship.
11/14/2011 (4150) Invoiced (order is invoiced to the dealer).
11/14/2011 (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor.
11/15/2011 (4200) Shipped (vehicle is shipped to the dealer or interim point of delivery).

After the dealer receives the vehicle, what do they need to actually do to it? I'm sure they'll need to crap it up with their logo and otherwise, wash it and gas it up. Otherwise, do most dealerships run it through an inspection, etc?

There are not any inspections except for damage when the vehicle is unloaded so look it over closely before you sign the papers. If you find anything that is not as it should be have them write the item (s) up on a work order and tell them you'll be back when the corrections are made.
They remove any protective plastic sheeting, detail it (most of the time poorly) and park it for you to come in and sign the paper work and it's yours. If your lucky they will give you instructions on how everything operates. As to the dealer logos just tell them to remove them-----------my dealer was instructed not to install them.

I just got back from the dealer with the new addition.
The inspection was the State inspection in order to validate the registration. Otherwise, yes - it was "washed".

Every excited with the new 'Nox. Now to tweak all the settings... Only my Weathertech cargo liner is here - floor liners should arrive Monday.

I'm thinking of chopping off the back of the Weathertech cargo mat. Everytime I put the back seat back, it buckles. Typically, I don't put the seat back. Decisions, decisions.

As far as inspections go, I believe in NY state that a new car has to have a regular inspection to get the original inspection sticker.
That is true.

How do I get this information? Nothing is mentioned by my dealership I could watch the progress of the build.

???
You need the order number from your dealer and then you can sign up at www.camarotracking.com to track your order. I find it about a week behind from what the dealer can find. Dealer's don't tell you about it because it's not an official GM tracking website and many don't know about it.

Try CamaroTracking.Com

It also works for other GM Vehicles. You will need to know the 5 or 6 character order number. Try a search to get more info on what the various codes mean.
