We got our Nox in February so this is our first warm weather. The last week or so, when I turn the car on the A/C starts running. When I turn it off it stays off.

Is this a bug or a feature?

thanks

Do you have Climate Control
or
Manual

Are you selecting A/C and then noting it is still engaged on a subsequent engine start
or
do you have it turned off (deselected) and saying it comes on by itself

Is your question based on feeling cold air...or seeing the center stack A/C indicator illuminated

IIRC, the manual has a way to set the initial state of the climate control, either off or preset or to the last setting used.

I believe its normal as its based on the outside temp. In the winter, it'll turn on the seat warmer.

I turn the A/C off and it stays off - until I turn the car off and re-start it.

I feel cold air and the AC control has the little light on. Also, the cold air is classic dry cold air from the AC.

Thanks

See Section 5-31

Air Conditioning Mode
This will allow you to select whether
or not the air conditioning comes on
automatically the next time the
vehicle is started. “On” means that
the air conditioning will be on at
start up, regardless of whether it
was on or off the last time the
vehicle was turned off. “Off” means
the air conditioning will be off at the
next start up, regardless of whether
it was on or off the last time the
vehicle was turned off. “Last
Setting” means that when the
vehicle is started, the air
conditioning will resume whichever
setting it was at the last time the
vehicle was turned off.
Press the MENU/SELECT knob
when Air Conditioning Mode is
highlighted. Turn the knob to
highlight “On,” “Off,” or “Last
Setting.” Press the knob to confirm
the selection and go back to the
last menu.

Again, I give high marks to our salesperson, who literally walked us thru the set up menu, step by step, until we hit all the options. Initial state of aircon on startup was one of those settings... Off, On, or Last Known Setting.

I'm guessing not many salespeople do that these days...
