So I currently have my amp placed in my spare tire compartment but I tends to get somewhat hot any ideas where else I can place it I've tried under the front seats and there isn't enough room I was thinking of screwing it into the back seats.

Is it getting so hot it shuts down? Are you trying to run it for more than it’s rated? Like trying to run 1 ohm load and it’s only rated as 2 ohm stable?

I have mine mounted behind the driver side panel in the back, not much room at all, and never have a problem. It’s an Alpine digital amp running a 2 ohm load to a pair if 10” subs…

I'm running the correct ohm granted the watts required for the subs are way higher than the amp I'm just looking for a less enclosed space I am thinking of mounting fans though because I plan on getting a better amp

I might just grab the fans and mount them on the platform below the top on the spare tire cover
