Hello. this is my first post here.

I have a 06 equinox LT. Quite suddenly the ABS and TC lights came up. I gave it to my local garage and they said the bearings were bad and the sensor had to be replaced. After forking out $1K, the light still pops up. I was told that this could be a ABS module problem.

Does anyone know what ABS module is used in 06 model and any methods to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

the electronic brake control module is listed in the service manual as #1928403008....its on gmparts direct but its $700...best bet would be used

best method to see if its throwing any codes, either generic, or GM specific which would require the dealer....i hope your mechanic is doing this extra work for free since his first foray didnt do anything....

well.. my mechanic did not charge me for the extra visits ;D

but he did tell me to take it to the dealer and check the ABS module. The rear wheel bearings are OK and both front wheel bearings are new.. So I donot suspect any problem with the sensors. How can I find out what type of ABS is used in my NOX?

Thanks in Advance.

Try uncoupling wiring connector under the drivers seat and then reconnect. Sometimes the seat sensor needs a reset for the ABS error code. It happened in my 2004 Montana

Did your mechanic check the actual wire harnesses & plugs that connect to the ABS sensors? All it takes is a small break in one wire that intermittently is not making contact. It happened to my '00 Malibu.
