I have had my Terrain for about 1 week and it's the dang coolest SUV (thingy) I have ever owned!

Everyone with any new GM or GMC Car with XM Radio has 90 days feee.

But right now, XM is still offerring the $77.00 full 12 month subscription (plus some $11++ fee. But that beats the heck out of the $160+ a year for the XM Everything Package.

Look up your radio XM ID number by going to XM and channel 000, it will read out your XM ID #. Write this down and call XM Customer Service at 1-800-347-0600 and tell them you have a new GM Vehicle and want the $77 12 month special. The CSR should know. Some people have to call back in a couple times to get the CSR's who are up to speed, but it works! You need a credit cardto place on file and after the 90 days, lus your $77 12 month time, they will start to auto bill you $12.95 then, you can call and cancel if you want.

They will even offer you a deep discounted LIFETIME Everything package for around $460++ if you just ask.

Yeah the $77 deal has been going on for a few years now, but XM usually won't advertise it. Usually if you tell tell them to cancel your account, then they will cave and offer up the $77 deal.

I'm going for the $399 "lifetime" package. I think it's actually 10 years, and not lifetime, but that's $40/year at worst. And you can transfer it a few times to newer vehicles.

FYI the lifetime is only transferable from portable XM hardware. You cannot transfer it if you get it for a factory radio.

I was going to do this, but after the 6 hour trip with not very good music I will stick to my CD's. I listen to classic rock and have 3 or 4 stations bookmarked, but it seems like I'm changing back and forth to get the good songs.

I had XM in the Vibe I sold to get the Nox. Called XM and made the switch from the old XM to the new one. Everything went smooth, er a well not quite. 90 days go by and the radio went nuts. Couldnt get most of my stations because I wasnt authorized! Called XM and sure enough they had screwed it up 90 days ago. BUT I did manage to get the $77 for a year so it was worth the hassle.

I'm in Canada too, and just renewed for $108 plus tax. Last year I got the $77 deal. I just told them it was too much money and I would cancel unless I got a better deal.

Nice to know as I just received mail from them wanting me to renew. I will tell them I want the lower price as well and see how that works out for me. Thanks for posting.

I got the XM everything package a couple of weeks ago for $77 plus tax. The rep told me everyone gets that price for the first time after the 90 day trial period. Of course the Nav traffic and the weather are all extras at $47 each.
