2023 GMC Terrain Denali - Injectors leaking Fuel Into Spark Plugs

I just recently purchased a preowned 23 GMC Terrain Denali (35k Miles) a month ago. Yesterday (9/24/25) I was driving home from work & noticed the vehicle started loosing power on the freeway. So I exited the freeway and pulled into a parking lot & the vehicle’s steering wheel became tight & vehicle turned off. I tried starting it again & it would not stay running & I could smell fuel. I called a Tow truck & had it towed to my house, since it was getting late & luckily I was close to my house. I had the vehicle towed again, this morning to a reputable mechanic shop. I was informed this evening that the injectors are leaking into the spark plugs and into the motor and fuel is coming out of the exhaust. Has this happened to anyone or do y’all know if this is a recall? Please advise and any info would be helpful.

2023? 35,000 miles? Why is this at a reputable mechanic and not at the dealer for warranty service? Is it an as-is salvage? It has to be a 1.5 since the 2.0 is long discontinued.

i purchased the vehicle as is and no dealer warranty. I also purchased the Vision Warranty policy for the car. Not sure what exactly they cover or exclude.

I think the warranty question is that this should be under the original mfg warranty at this age and mileage.

I agree about manufacturer powertrain warranty. Owners manual has contact numbers or go to a GMC dealer.
