2018 Terrain 2.0 Oil Leak

We have a 2018 Terrain SLE with 2.0 turbo engine. We have developed a pretty good oil leak from, what looks to me, to be the valve cover gasket. It’s coming from high on the engine.

Are the valve covers prone to leaking or is there something more likely I should be checking?

Mine ('18 Terrain Denali, 2.0T) doesn't leak anywhere. I don't recall reading many, or even any, posts about leaking 2.0T valve cover issue on this forum. That's not to say that nobody else has this issue, but it doesn't seem to be a widespread one.

My 2018 2.0t has a similar issue. I can't tell for sure if it's the valve cover, but I'm sure the timing chain cover is leaking. Not a dripping leak, but there is oil on the cover. The bottom of the engine is dry. I don't have any measurable oil useage, and 140000 miles. I'll just keep an eye on it.

A friend mechanic told me right after i got my terrain that these cars are known for timing chain issues......mine has 86000 miles on it had 84, 950 when i bought it. other than these few spots of water leak i found inside on the left side of cargo lid right under that vent where fuse box is. So far thats the knly issue ive had so far but ive only had this car since july this year
