I just purchased a used 2015 GMC terrain from a dealership. The ad said "flex fuel". I see no flex fuel badges.

I see no yellow gas cap. I read conflicting info.

Is there any way to confirm?

Grab your vin and call gm customer service or call dealer.

I did a google search.
A web page about flex fuel vehicles.
Some you can determine by the 8th digit in vin.
The spreadsheet showed GM cars by model yr and engine.
But at the bottom it said to grab vin and call cust. Service at some number it listed.

Look for the sticker on the bottom of the glove box.
If the vehicle is Flex Fuel you will see the RPO code FHS.
If the vehicle E-10 you will see the RPO code FHO.

There is a tag on the rear, passenger side door, on the stationary piece of glass.
Easier to see from the inside looking out if you have factory deep tint.

I tried looking at the sticker on the inside of the glove box...

It's all BACKWARDS. I can see it says "do not remove" backwards

Ok I guess I found out.

CONFIRMED there is fho in the list.

Also checked under the hood. I see fuel: gasoline, and a warning to flatbed the SUV for AWD issues. Nothing about ethanol.

Did you know, that GM says these vehicles are flex fuel, but the vehicle actually isnt't. There is not an actual vehicle that is "flex fuel". So GM is selling a vehicle, and not telling buyers this. This is why My boss is filing a class action against GM. You can too!!

General Motors faces a class action over its alleged failure to disclose that its Flex Fuel vehicles cannot regularly operate on 85-percent ethanol (E85) fuel alone without damage.

Ok odd.

The vehicle has NO BADGING for flex.

The sticker inside the glove box (which is mirrored and looks odd) shows FHO and not RPO.

The VIN engine code shows an LEA flex fuel engine.

Double check the vin on dash up by glass with the vin on decal.

The VIN engine code shows an LEA flex fuel engine.
All three letter codes are RPO codes.
It stands for Regular Production Options.
An RPO code designates how a vehicle is built during production.

You will have either FHO or FHS but not both.
If you are still unsure, look under your vehicle for the Flex Fuel Module.
Follow the fuel line to about halfway back to the fuel tank.
The FFM is mounted inline, the fuel line plugs into it.

My 2014 V-6 is a Flex Fuel, I have the FF module, yellow gas cap, FHS in the glove box, badge on the Right Rear Door glass, listed on the original new car windshield sticker, and listed on one of the under hood tags.
