Just took delivery of a new 2011 SRX Performance today. The website and brochure both indicate that the driver's mirror is auto-dimming, but mine appears to be missing this feature. Help?
Is there a Tab or Lever of some kind on the bottom of your rearview to manualy dim it?
Auto dimming can be turned off and on(see your manual for the procedure)
If there is a mechanical way to dim the mirror then it stands to reason that it isn't equiped with auto-dimming.
If there's no mechanical way to dim it then it stands to reason that the feature is in there but might be turned off.
If you go through the prcedure to turn the feature on and it is still failing to dim when bright lights are behind you then I would suggest a trip to your dealer's service department.
good advice. I'll just add that I have the Performance also and I recall you CAN turn it off! I gotta check but I think there is a button on rear view mirror (controls both inner, and driver outer mirror!) Look in the OM.
