I haven't had success with repairing a tear in our 2011 Terrain's driver's side seat so I'm considering replacing the seat cushion cover with the OEM replacement. Just wondering if anyone has any tips for how to replace the seat cushion cover. I found the GM p/n but I'm wondering about the level of difficulty or special tools needed for the job. Thanks.

This is extremely easy to do. I did it myself. Remove the back cover on the seat(pull bottom out with a little force), remove the side cover (seat buttons) and a few clips holding the cover on. And viola, cushion is off.

Thanks! I got a repair estimate today where the upholstery shop will replace the damaged panel. It costs less than a new seat cover but I'm still going to look into removing and replacing the cover first.
