I grew up always changing my oil and was taught to always make sure to grease any points necessary. I've now changed the oil twice in my 2010 Equinox and I can't find a grease nipple to save my life. Is there something I'm missing. Where I would normally expect to find them there's nothing. Before this, the newest vehicle I've owned is a '99 Blazer. Something changed in the 11 years between that I don't know about?

Ahh yes, lower front control arm ball joint is a sealed unit nowadays (the full size 1500 series and up trucks have greasable control arm ball joints) and the Universal-joints on the drivetrain have been replaced with a greasless sealed unit as well.
So just change your oil and filters and go!! Vehicle service made easy. ;)

In case you find this troubling...keep in mind that on average, sealed bearings/joints will last much longer than the old style counterparts. Seems that sealing a bearing from moisture/dirt and using a lubricant that doesn't degrade is actually a good thing...who knew? ;)
