Hello all,

Brand new here, and my daughter has a 2005 Equinox, and she called me last night and it has a leak on the right front of the car. States it is black, and is somewhat watery. Not like oil, but slick. Not sure if this is making sense or not, but she is about 1400 miles away. She looked under the car and noticed it is dripping off of the frame, from the top it seems as though there is no issues. She says that it is leaving about the puddle the size of a 50 cent piece after being off all night. No drivability issues and no other issues. Any ideas? Also, she checked the oil, and states that it is fine, right where it should be.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Does it evaporate ? If so, could be water from the A/C.

Could be brake fluid - have he check the level.

Could be oil - that little will not effect a dipstick check.

A garage should diagnose it for free to try to get the business.

Nice, I have a great friend that was with 2/5 not to long ago. I was with 2/4, 3/5, S Battery, and CLB-1, 7, and 15. Love the days with the Marines. Glad you had a good Doc with ya. The young ones coming up are better than every, keeping the Corpsman rating going...

Its one of those wierd things. It is not oil, from what she says, states that it seems like a puddle of oil with water mixed in it. Everyday when she parks the car for a good amount of time, states that there is a puddle about the size of a 50 cent piece down there. I have asked her to send me pictures so I can see, but it is black and oiley, and somewhat watery. Bad discreption but you get the idea. Thanks Big P

Bloodiedoc,

Did you find out what the problem was? My 2005 is doing the same thing...been to 3 different shops. They finally told me it was a seal between the motor and tranny, but they dont do that work and sent me to the dealership. When I went there, they said they are booked up rest of this weekand bring in Monday to evaluate it to see what the problem is.....
