Recently our 2006 Chevy Equinox began to start honking 3 times randomly. When you lock the car and set the anti theft deterrent it does this, 3 soft honks. Now it's doing it randomly, sometimes 2 times in 30 minutes, other times hours inbetween. We just moved from a house into an apartment. At the house it never did this, but it was parked inside a garage. Now it's outside and began doing this.
Is this simply an oversensitive alarm type thing where when someone drives by with a noisy car it does this?
Or is it a warning of some other sort, like a battery or loose wire?
